“B-Movie” is a history lesson about ‘80s Berlin – a well-made documentary about the development of squat movements and music genres of the time. The narrative boundaries are set by three works of independent filmmaker Jörg Buttgereit. The film utilizes previously unaired television materials, stock footage from performances and concerts alongside interviews with members of the Berlin scene and ‘80s celebrities (including “We Children of Bahnhof Zoo’s” Christiane F.). A must-see for everyone in love with Berlin and hoping to learn more about the Western side’s tumultuous reality.
