Independent Video Games and Interactive Media Market

For the third time, the Video Game Night Market will take place during the multimedia festival Ars Independent. The market of the latest in games and the showcase of interactive media and new technologies will arrive in Katowice at the end of September. Right now, the call for entries to the exhibition has begun.

The Video Game Night Market is the meeting place between the festival’s audience and independent authors of not just games, but a variety of interactive experiences. This market searches for outstanding, niche works – you won’t play LoL or CS here, but you will talk with the young, widely inventive generation of Polish gamedev.

If you make games or other multimedia projects – you can submit for entry as an exhibitor at the Night Market until July 23.

The Night Market will take place on Friday, September 27, from 5pm until midnight in Katowice City of Gardens (pl. Sejmu Śląskiego 2). Entry is free of charge.

“Once again, the Night Market has shown that you can make an interesting event for both the audience and the exhibitors. It’s a great opportunity to show off, especially for atypical and original ideas. We’ll gladly take part in the next edition!” adds Pigmentum Game Studio, which visited Katowice in 2018 with their “Indygo”, an emotional adventure game about struggling with depression.

Last year, more than 15 stands with the latest games, virtual reality, retro hardware and industry services awaited the visitors. This year, apart from the exhibition section, the organizers plan other accompanying industry events, such as Game On – the presentation of student works, from concept art, through models and animations to prototypes.
