Kuky se vraci

SCREENPLAY BY: Jan Svěrák
PRODUCED BY: Jan Svěrák, Eric Abraham, David Rauch, Jeffrey Brown, Monika Šplíchalová

The titular Kooky is a plush toy which belongs to an asthmatic six year old. Due to his illness, the boy has to part ways with his cuddly friend. But after being abandoned and thrown out to a garbage dump, the toy comes to life and decides to return to its young owner at any cost. Jan Svěrák combines live-action film with puppet animation to build a fable-like world governed by the rules of good and evil. “Kooky” is a very smart story for both adult and younger viewers. The rich scenography – the forest and the creatures inhabiting it – was made by Amanita Design’s Jakub Dvorský.

The event is organized with the support of the Czech Centrum.
