“Hit me, Rocky!” – yells out Teresa Szyman, a sexually abused glass factory worker, during a sexual encounter. In this dense, perverse thriller, Łukasz Barczyk plays an ambiguous game with the viewer. He creates a Godless world where a gang of firefighters – lead by the demonic General – intimidates and terrifies their victims. The protagonists of “Unmoved Mover” want to satisfy their most base instincts. Images of love can only be realized through violence. Only the highest form of suffering can help them atone for their sins.
