A strange, perhaps even surrealist western, tasting of film tape. Niles Atallah, director of “Lucia” (1st Ars Independent) tells a part real, part fablelike story of adventurer Orélie Antoine de Tounens, who lived in the second half of the 19th century. He wanted to become the king of Patagonia. This story of a lost kingdom – utilizing several techniques and screen formats – is a puzzle-film, which broadens horizons and encourages individual interpretations.
