The planned sad tones of Bleeding Moses’ “Hello D” mix with a terrifying vision of an obsessive, dangerous love. The initial shots of bodies touching suggests that we’re witnessing an erotic game. But with time we realize that it’s not a game – it’s the abuser’s ritual, meant to give him full control over the victim. The lyrics “I want to put my fingers in you / One after another” turn from a metaphorical love declaration into a psychopath’s unsettling promise. The video echoes the dense atmosphere of “The Fall,” one of the best TV shows in recent memory.
