Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
SWE 2015
PRODUCENT: Dennaton Games
WYDAWCA: Devolver Digital
The first “Hotline Miami” asked us whether we liked to hurt other people. Its successor asks a different question: do we know how it ends? And it immediately warns us that no, we do not. The Swedish duo’s new game is not just a bigger, better and longer version of the modern classic that is “Hotline Miami.” First and foremost, it is a mature look at the nature of sequels and fan expectations. The multilayered tale about the pointlessness of violence is filled with disappointments and anti-climaxes. Gameplay-wise, there is enough little tweaks and changes to reinvigorate the formula and trip up fans of the first game.
Dennaton Games
Swedish duo formed by designers, musicians (Crystal Boys, Fucking Werewolf Asso) and artists: Jonatan ‘cactus’ Söderström and Dennis Wedin. “Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number” is their second commercial game.
