LISA: The Painful RPG

To quote from author Austin Jorgensen, “LISA” is “a miserable journey of a broken man” through a post-apocalyptic world (from which all women disappeared, leaving mostly “strong men, dipshits and perverts”). The player controls Brad Armstrong, who is searching for his adopted daughter Buddy – the first woman since the apocalypse. “LISA” is an RPG game inspired by Shigesato Itoi’s “Earthbound.” The game shares a lot with its cult inspiration: an unusual sense of humor, a well-crafted universe and a deconstructive approach to narrative and gameplay. But “LISA” is something more – it’s one of the darker, funnier and simply unique games of the last few years.
