Winner of the Berlinale Label Europa Cinemas award. Martin is a frustrated 30-something, who decides to spend the weekend away from his family and town. The viewer tags along, listening to the man’s internal monologue throughout the nature journey. Ole Giæver, with the iconic black Scandinavian sense of humor, parodies existential cinema based on “the poetry of long shots”. In addition, he skillfully inserts some musing on the contemporary norms of masculinity and maturity.
