The Punk Syndrome

The camera registers moments in which members of the band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät – with their very own brand of sensibility – experience things typical to artists: sudden loves, turbulence in the band, disappointment in the world and politics. Those four guys with intellectual disabilities are something else, though. They have some undpisutably authentic complaints to yell out about constraining their freedom and pushing them out to the social margin. It’s why – according to the film’s authors – they are playing in most likely the last true punk band in the world.
